Renowned cyberpunk noir author Michael Shean’s read my first Machinist book, and says it’s great.
I’ve also started reading a novella written by my friend, Alexander Maisey. The first part of his Machinist series, Malevolence, is about a supervillain who, newly-released from prison, finds himself framed soon after for the crime of attempted world domination. It’s a race against time as the fellow attempts to clear his name before the superheroes and the mundane authorities catch up to him. And since I’ve read a little of this before it was out, I can tell you that it’s a.) a fantastic read and b.) the first of hopefully many treats from our friend senor Maisey. So, buy it! Read it! And tell him to finish that damned Martian mercenaries book of his before I have to go up there and throttle him myself.
Michael Shean is the author of the much-anticipated Redeye, the conclusion to his cyberpunk noir series that includes Bone Wires and Shadow of a Dead Star.
Don’t ask about the Martian mercenaries. It’s not ready yet. But feel free to buy Malevolence here!
